I am currently working on a pediment frieze for a new Temple of Bacchus at Painshill Park in Surrey. I have modelled the frieze in stucco, which is an ancient medium consisting of lime putty, sand, marble dust and volcanic ash or brick dust. The title of the work is Triumph of Silenus, and it consists of a bacchanalian procession of twelve figures including a drunken Silenus, weary donkey, satyrs, putti and nymphs variously drinking, making music, dancing and fighting. The temple will be open to the public from spring 2018. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested and would like to know more.
